Centsational Girl:: DIY Paint stick sunburst mirror

I found this simple diy project browsing the internet today.  I love projects like this because you can fill up some bare space with decor and not put a dent in your wallet.  I hate the idea of forking over a good chunk of money for something that serves no real purpose other than to look good.  It's ok to splurge on furniture that will get years of use, but when it comes to decor I like it cheap!

Inspirational White Kitchens

This post is strictly inspirational images of all white kitchens.  I love white kitchens because really open up the space and diffuse natural light.  They are truly timeless because can be pulled off in any home. They are ideal for small kitchens and it costs way less to paint cabinets white than to replace them.  Having an all white kitchen also allows you to swap out decor and experiment with new accent colors, which is perfect for me because I tend to get bored easily.  I might even follow up with a post on the psychology of white!

6 Clever Uses for Clothespins

1. Kitchen sink storage: Simply glue some clothes pins to the inside of a cabinet door to create some easy storage for gloves, sponges or cleaning rags.

2.  Hang it up: Glue or nail clothes pins to a plank of wood to hang light weight items like an apron or pot holders.  You could also put one near the entrance to hang dry gloves and mittens in the winter.

3.  DIY Lamp:  You can make a decorative lamp with this tutorial I found at  {www.younghouselove.com}  I think its a great idea for the laundry room!

4.  Magnets:  Decorate clothes pins and glue a magnet to the back.  Use them to hang grocery lists and reminders on your fridge or to snazzy up a magnetic message board.

5.  Organize:  Write labels on them and use them in your home office to organize in various ways.

6.  Jewelry Mobile:  Create a jewelry mobile with this tutorial from {www.amyistheparty.com} using a wooden embroidery hoop, clothes pins and some twine.
